Catherine Lewan, PT, DPT, C-IAYT
Dr. Lewan obtained her DPT from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2010. She is certified by STOTT in comprehensive mat, equipment, and rehabilitation Pilates, and is also a certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She has finished advanced studies in Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Pelvic Health and gained 15 years of clinical experience in Chicago, where she launched a pelvic health program at an orthopedic clinic and guided PTs eager to enhance their orthopedics and pelvic skills. During this period, she experienced symptoms associated with hEDS and POTS, and chose to be open about her conditions. She specialized in handling intricate cases involving symptomatic hypermobility, since connective tissues can impact any body system, including orthopedic, pelvic, neurological, vascular, and autonomic systems. Her waitlist expanded dramatically, and she discovered therapists to guide on a holistic, biopsychosocial method for addressing chronic, under-explored, and misinterpreted symptoms.
